Mountains Eroding

Creationists have long promoted the continental erosion rates demonstrating evidence for a young earth in that based on their rates of erosions, if the earth were billions of years old, the continents would be gone because their erosion rates limit their age to just a few million years.

Geologists are confronted with this problem in their studying of mountain erosion rates. This fact is forcing geologists to alter their theory about mountain formation. An example of this would be the Appalachian mountain's, which were promoted to be 300 million years old, however, if this were true, they would not be standing today in that their erosion rates would have eroded them away in just 20 million years.

Geologists are now thinking these mountains must somehow be renewing themselves, or still growing.

Creation application: So many times evolutionists themselves offer direct evidence as to why Creationists know the earth is not 4 billion years old. Erosion rates have long been the enemy of evolutionists yet they continue to offer convenient speculations in an effort to avoid admitting their findings support young earth creationism.
